hi everybody! i have never really joined a forum before so i'm a little confused, but i'm sure i'll get the hang of it quick enough, haha! the name i go by online is nym and i hope that i can meet all of you soon enough!!! i am out to family and a few friends but most of them get annoyed when i try to mention anything about it, so it will be nice to be able to talk here. have a good day everybody!
Hi, and welcome from a fellow newcomer!! Shall I call you Nym? It's the shorter option after all. Even though I'm a seasoned forumer, I hear ya about this format. Forums are from the second wave of communication styles on the web, if email was the first and social media the third. Some people have never really used forums, and many of the rest of us have already gotten used to social media instead. I know I have. I'm not sure how old your are, but teenagers and early 20-somethings are often so caught up in facing their own problems that they have a hard time mustering the patience to focus exclusively on anyone else's for a given amount of time. This is unfortunate, but over time you'll find some people to lean on. At the very least, I hope we can be of some support here. So, again, I may be new, but welcome!!
