It's been a long time since I last posted on EC. I figured why not just say hi again. Empty Closets is actually the place where I first came out. I read a lot of the posts, asked for a lot of advice, and commented on some things myself. Unfortunately, that was under a different name and I cannot for the life of me remember what it was. Anyway . . . quick introduction. I am a senior at a university in Michigan. I am studying information technology so if you have any tech questions send them my way! I have been in a relationship with the most amazing guy for close to a year and a half. I love him more than words can say. I am out to everyone except my dad's side of the family. Surprisingly, my grandma on my mom's side has been one of the most supportive people. When talking about my boyfriend she once said "if he's okay with you, he's okay with me." I'm going to try to be EC a lot more. Since the last time I was on here, I've gone through training by my university's Office of Gay and Lesbian Programs to speak on LGBT issues. I now speak on panels and such for various events. Also, I have been trained and have worked as a coming out support group facilitator for the university. I feel like doing things like that are my own personal way to help support the LGBT community. Anyway, that's about it. If you have any questions for me, feel free to ask. If you wanna say hi, that'd be cool!
Hi and welcome back to EC! I'm glad to hear that EC helped, and you're paying that back through your work on campus. That's AWESOME! I'm sure you'll have lots to contirbute here as well.
Welcome back! I loved your Grandmother's comment concerning your b.f.! She's priceless! And,congratulations for coming out.
