One great huge congrats

Basically, I can't keep it quiet any more;

So, I thought I was originally gonna just be home from Uni for the weekend, lots of hugs and kisses, go out for a beer with my friends, then come back to lots of lectures and getting drunk with flatmates.

But then I had the most surprising surprise sprung on me.

My mom's boyfriend has proposed to my mom. And she's said yes.

Oh yes; lets just say we were all in a state of shock and not because it's been sudden or because nobody believes they make a great couple, I mean, they've been together three years and they adore each other, it's just that nobody saw it coming. Both of them have said plenty of times that they weren't fussed about remarrying, but as Mom said to me "when someone who you truly love asks you to marry them, how can you say no?"

So yeah, this is just my congrats to them.

Oh and plus, you'll never guess what my mom has already asked me to do? Well, because my grandfather (her father) passed away a few years back and apparently she's not close enough to her mom to ask her, my mom wants me to give her away at the wedding!

Yup, the whole father of the bride role, and then make a speech. So yeah, nerveracking, shocking but bloody exhilarating, not to mention my little sister is dead excited about being head bridesmaid.

 

Haha, he certainly ain't gonna replace my real dad But if there's anyone I'd be proud to call my Mom's fella, it's him
