As the thread title says; time flies when you’re having fun! And looking at my calendar and my profile, I couldn’t help but notice that as of today, I’ve been on EC for a whole year now. It’s odd how that year seems simultaneously like a very short time and an eternity. If I read back my first few threads (which don’t include a formal introduction thread. I totally forgot about that and just barged in ), I’m amazed at how much has happened. One year ago, I was just recently out to three friends and still really panicky on the thought of other people finding out the truth. At most, I thought I would come in to thank all of you for the help that I got just from lurking here, end then move on again, maybe coming out to a few more people over the course of the next year. …but of course, that’s not what happened. I kept coming back to talk, to chat, and to offer my opinion on other people’s threads. I got to know a lot of people on here better, and that, in turn, helped me to be more confident. In the end, I’m now out to pretty much everyone that matters (with a few notable exceptions), and way more comfortable with myself than I ever thought I would be. If there ever was a pivotal year in my life, it was last year. So I just wanted to make this thread to thank you all for an amazing year. I won’t make a list of who I'd like to thank, because I’d inevitably forget people, but there are a lot of you that I’d want to thank for all the support I got from reading your posts and talking to you. Even a lot of people I never really talked to were a big help in getting where I am now. I’d also really wish to thank the other Staff members for giving me the opportunity to help in whatever small way I can to keep this site as great as it is. Your trust means a lot to me! So, cheers to you all, and I hope to be back for a similar thread in a year! :icon_bigg

Over the time I've been here your advice has consistently been nothing short of brilliant, so EC put their faith in the right guy! Congrats!!
Congratulations Pomme d'Amour ! The last year have been indeed very eventful for you, and I am happy you have found EC helpful and supportive during the past months. But more than everything, I am thankful that this place gave us the opportunity to meet. You have been an wonderful member of this community, and have become in a few months a truly wonderful friend to me. Thank you for all the help and support you spread around.(*hug*) (*hug*)
