Engaged!!!

    I haven't been in here much lately - work and home life have been incredibly busy. But I wanted to share my good news...

    My boyfriend and I are officially engaged! (!)(!)(!)(!)

    We've been together now for over 2 years and we've talked about getting married at some point. But our lives are settling down - work, family, finances - and it makes sense for us to think about making our relationship more 'official'. Not because we have to, but because we want to, and here in Canada, we can!

    We were having a nice steak dinner last night - including the red wine and candle - and the mood just seemed right. So I asked him if he would marry me. No 'getting down on my knee' or anything - just sitting across from him at the dinning room table. He said yes - and turned around and asked if I would marry him - just so things would be 'even'. :icon_wink I said yes.

    No date. Maybe next summer some time. We're just going to enjoy this new phase of our relationship for a while. It feels really good.

    Congrats Jim! I am so happy for you. Its a great that you can get married, since you live in Canada. My bf and I have been talking about it also since we live in Massachusetts. I hope soon everyone if they want to can marry. :slight_smile: (!)(!)
