    Well I just wanted to say hello and that I am very glad that I found this message board. I haven't yet came out to my family and I am finding the stories on here very useful.

    I know what you mean. I'm only out to a few people, and I found reading the stories in here made the whole situation (being gay) much more real for me. This site is great!

    Thanks everyone! I just recently turned 24 years old a week ago and I realized that it was time to stop hiding who I really am. I've come so very close this past week in telling my parents, but each time I end up getting scared and back down. I've had opportunities to do it over the phone and I even saw them in person last weekend. It's not like I am still living at home, so there really is no worry about "getting kicked out" but I am still freaking out. I thought about sending a letter, but the wait would kill me! Ahh, well thanks for the warm welcome and hopefully soon I can be myself!:icon_bigg
