Hi everyone!

I'm a 23-year-old guy from Finland and just wanted to say hello. It's a great resource site and I wish I can share you my own story of me coming out to my parents in the near future in the "coming out stories" section of this site... since that's exactly what I'm about to do this weekend, given that I don't chicken out.

I've known that I'm gay for about 3 years. I came out to my sister shortly thereafter, but it's been a struggle to move forward.. that was before I told a close friend of mine a few weeks ago. He was so supportive I almost couldn't believe it.. and that experience made me want to come out to my parents more than ever. I absolutely have to do that. As I said, hopefully I can share my story in detail in a week or so.

Well, what else should I say.. I'm a pretty ordinary bloke, I like sports and music and surfing the Internet for hours and hours.. :icon_bigg Luckily I also exercise quite a lot, I engage in endurance sports all year. I guess that's all at this point, thank you everyone for this great site. :smilewave

Haha, I sure hope I won't disappoint you or myself by chickening out. :icon_bigg I'm feeling surprisingly confident about the whole thing. I know exactly how I want to come out and given that my parents have been very supportive and loving and that they don't seem to have any problems with gays overall.. I'm pretty sure it will all go well. Hopefully I'll just find a right moment to do that.
