Hey Laura, there are HEAPS of Australians here, in fact a couple of the moderators are aussies...Im Dave from Australia, although Im from SA.

One of my friends (who just finished school) really wants to get into vetinary science, and I think he might be trying to get into a course in either Melbourne or Sydney, so yeah thats cool

Anyway, hope you have fun here, hope to see you round the boards

(and this is totally unrelated, but is the title a quote from Zoolander, cos I LOVE that movie...Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson crakc me up...if it isnt, well i just made a bit of a fool of myself now didnt i?)

hi dave! thanks for the welcome. its always nice to see a few aussies around! i was supposed to be going to uni next year to become a vet, but after working for the past year as a vet nurse, i've come to realise its not what i want to do, so i'm considering my options at the moment. i finished school in 06, by the way. anyway, i'll see you round!

by the way dave, the thread title might actually be from zoolander now that i think of it, but it was really jsut the first thing that came to my mind... i guess i was trying to think of something a little more exciting than 'hi, i'm new' hehe

hey celebrityhead! thanks for the welcome. about your cat: take him/her to a vet if you're worried! cats invariably throw up for not much reason at all but if its happening all the time it might be something treatable. my cats often throw up if i feed them canned food that's been in the fridge and is cold...something to think about! and i deal with cat vomit/dog poo all day long at work so you don't have to worry about grossing me out lol
and yes, i am loving it here  see you round!
