So, I found EC about two days ago, and I've already fallen in love! What a wonderful place all of you have created for such a turbulent time in life. I've gotten butterflies in my stomach on several occasions from the heartfelt stories and comments. But enough sappy stuff.(&&&) I guess I should say a little about myself. I'm from Montana (northwestern U.S. for those across the waves) and am pretty much on my own up here coming out. Or, at least, none of my friends from school is gay (that I know of). So far, I've managed to come out to almost all of them, but the family situation is a little more difficult. I work for my father right now in a somewhat-homophobic work environment. Although I think my parents would take it pretty well (considering they had to deliver their own bad news a few years back about getting divorced... although they're back together now...weird, I know), I'm in that situation where if I do get a bad reaction, I'll lose my job. So, my hope right now is to finish up the fantasy novel that I've been writing for the last few months and see if that sells. If all works out according to plan, I'll have enough money saved up by this time next year for a safety net in case something does go wrong. The only friend I have left to come out to is one of my three best friends. The other two already know and were very accepting. Other than that, I can't think of anything else to say at the moment. I'm just glad to have found such a great place at last! :eusa_danc
hi there and welcome to EC! i'm glad you've joined. sappy stuff is something this site is good at. (not meant in a negative way at all). you should wait until you are absolutely sure you are ready before coming out to your family. i think it's a good idea to wait until you can support yourself if that's what you want to do. once again, welcome!
Well, I haven't played (?) Soul Calibre, so no. It's just an old, mythological name that I like the look of. It evokes astral and tarot, which is kind of neat.
