Hey there, everyone! I've lurked for a while and decided to join this wonderful community. My name is Jason and I'm 16 years old. I currently live in Athens, and am almost ready to embrace the warmth of summer! High school's over for me forever in a bit less than a month, and I'm excited to go to college in the States this fall (SF Bay Area, anyone? :icon_bigg) Right now, I'm slightly anxious about this upcoming change in my life - moving half the world away from all of my family - but I think I'll get over it eventually. Surfing EC has helped me immensely since last October to fully accept my sexuality and come out to a few people in my life (10 and counting so far, including my mom, sister, and some friends; too bad that I was always a coward and came out to all by chatting online, except my mom, to whom I came out in person.. At the moment, I'm even considering to come out to everyone at school before I graduate, haha) I enjoy listening to music (mostly classical music and alternative rock), swimming, and moping around at home doing nothing for pure relaxation sometimes. Well, thanks for reading! Have a great day
'Ello, good sir! Don't call yourself a coward, coming out is probably one of the most difficult things to do for someone.
Hi, Jaason! Welcome to EC, and it's great that you've finally joined after lurking for a while, and that our community was helpful to you even before you joined. I hope you decide to stick around and contribute on a regular basis. There are a handful of ECers in the Bay area, and I think you'll also find it to be a great place... lots of diversity, lot of very open minded and welcoming people, and some really great schools.
Thanks for the warm welcome!! Yeah, EC has been great even before I joined! Thanks for all the help on here! Glad to know I'll be living in a nice place
Hi, and welcome (officially) to EC! I hope you enjoy being a member and contributing as well as absorbing information and acceptance!
Welcome to the dark side EC! I moved to the sates 8 years ago and it was definitely an experience. Best of luck!
