Hey! I guess this is the place to do introductions. I joined this forum looking for advice about coming out to my family (I posted a thread elsewhere). I started coming out when I was 16 (I'm 20 now) and I feel confident and comfortable in my life. I'm currently in a healthy and loving relationship. I was also drawn to this site by the opportunity to give advice where I can because I wish I had sought more guidance when I was coming out. I hope to talk to you guys a lot more on here
I have been fortunate enough to have only one bad coming out experience and it wasn't even from someone I had come out to. In high school I played hockey and one of my younger teammate's mothers heard I was gay and she flipped. Luckily I had the support of my team and coach that it became a non-issue.
