Hey everyone. I'm back from my wedding and honeymoon. The day went so well and all of the guests had a great time.

It was a little bit of a bittersweet day. My brother in law was not able to attend because he was in a motorcycle accident last week as a result of a drunk driver going the wrong way on the highway. From the accident my brother in law had his left leg amputated right below the knee and has a long road to recovery ahead of him. Before the ceremony the justice of the peace mentioned to my sister that we were going to mention my brother in law during the prayer at the end of the ceremony. She was moved and teared up which made me tear up before the ceremony start. I can be a cry baby sometimes. The ceremony was short and simple. We had it outside in the backyard. The weather held up. It was a little damp but did not rain like it had the previous 2 days.

The reception was at a restaurant about 2 miles away. The food was good and everyone had a wonderful time. We did not have seat assignments so guest could sit where they wanted. The only regret I had is that I wish I could have spent more time one on one with the guests. I have heard this before from other married couples and understand now why.

After that we went to Ogunquit Maine for 3 nights. We stayed at a inn near the center of town. We had a suite in an adult only building in the inn. It had its own pool were me and my husband ( I still need to get used to it ) hung around a bit. Most of the time we were by ourselves. We also went by the beach a couple of times and walked around the center of town where we went out to dinner at the numerous restaurants and bars.

Now I'm back relaxed and happier than ever!

Hi Ed! Congratulations again! That sounds like it was wonderful. How many people were there? Who had been invited? We'll be having a sit down dinner as well, but there will be time before dinner to mix and mingle over finger foods before dinner and then dancing afterwards - so I'm hoping that I get a chance to talk to everyone.

I'm sorry to hear about your brother in law. How horrible! (And don't worry - you're not the only one who tears up in situations like that...) My brother in law is scheduled for back surgery in the next couple of weeks, so we are assuming he'll be well enough to attend. He might be in a neck brace, and my sister will be 8 months pregnant, but they both plan to be there - just perhaps not looking their best!

    And your honeymoon sounds wonderful.

And now the rest of your life together begins. Did you move into his place, or him into yours? Or have you bought a new place together?
