I haven't posted in FOREVER and I was inspired today.

For those of you who don't know who I am and aren't friends with me on Facebook, I'm abroad again!
If the title wasn't obvious enough... It's Korea this time

    (South, not North... obviously)

Wow that's so cool! Are you teaching English in Korea? I've seen a lot of those programs through universities and see that Korea is one of the most popular places to do that.

Or am I wrong and you're just visiting? Lol

Yes! I originally came over in June to teach English and take summer courses, but I decided last minute to extend my stay and do my fall semester here as well

My main concern/goal is to learn Korean. I could care less about my college courses.

Wow that is AWESOME! I was so thinking of doing that -- not through university as study abroad but teach English in Korea. I really hope that works out for you. Korean definitely seems like a hard (yet fun!) language to learn. Let me know how that goes!

One would think it's difficult, but it really isn't.
The concept of a whole new writing system is really daunting, but I'm having a blast learning it. It always leaves me something to do.

I'm on the bus/subway and I'm bored... So what do I do?
I read signs and practice my comprehension. The next thing I know, it's time for my stop

If i may be so bold to ask, what do they pay you to teach English?

When I was teaching college students, they paid my airfare, which would've come out to about $100 a day.
The job teaching 1st graders would have been for $100 a day, but I did not take the job since it would eat up my summer and I want to take some time to tour and explore Seoul.

It's so cool. I mean, you are living in an another country and experiencing it and at the same time you are working. I should do something like that when i'm at college.

    Ahh! I've been good!
It's weird... Finished my first year of university, starting my second year in another country. It's amazing how time flies.
