Hey! I just thought I'd post here so that people can know a little about me... I'm 19, and I'm a sophomore in college studying to become a music teacher. I'm gay, but I'm closeted to everyone except my parents, and one gay friend I have in a different state. When I told my parents, however, they didn't "believe" that I'm gay, so we haven't talked about it since I told them. So I consider myself closeted still. One of the big reasons I don't come out is because since I want to be a teacher, many schools may not hire me... Music is my life! I love playing it, studying it, and composing it. I also love Glee and Lady GaGa! In a nutshell, I'm pretty shy, but once I get to know people I start to open up and I can actually be pretty fun to be around!:icon_bigg
Welcome to EC! I too love Glee and Lady Gaga! Yay for reinforced stereotypes! (j/k) If you told your folks, you're not closeted to them, whether they believe you or not. When you bring a dude home for Christmas, they might start to believe you a little more. At least you've already prepared them for the inevitability ahead of time.
