Hey there everyone. I am new to the forum today, which also happens to be my 4th anniversary with Peter. I am 100% gay and just as proud of it. I have lost a fair few members of my family because I am gay, but it is their loss, not mine. I have always had the philosophy that the friends we chose become our true family, and that our biological family are best viewed as friends or nobodies. I live in Rugby which is a town in the Midlands (England) but was born in Cornwall but had to leave because the average age of the town I used to live in reached about 200. I have three labradors, a cat and a pet snake (cuban tree boa). I live on the seventh floor and love the view out the window, with the exception of the fact there are no cute guys sunbathing anywhere near here . Anyway hi from me and I hope I will not be too much of a pest to anyone on here xx
Hi,I'm Patrick. Welcome to EC It's sad to hear about your family but glad that you got over it. That's one of the reason why I'm still in closet. Congratulation on your anniversary, now I'm envy and lonely... T_T I'm sure you will fit well in this forum,no worry I'm from East Midlands - Nottingham.Nice to meet you.
Rugby is kinda in the middle of the West and the East Midlands which is good because it means I am close to everywhere. There is no need to be scared of coming out, at the end of the day people who truly care will love you no matter what and anyone who cannot accept you as you are is not worth knowing. Anyhow thank you for the welcomes xx (&&&)
The thought of getting rejections from my family and friends scare me out. I was tempted to tell one of my female housemates once(which I'm 100% know she is fine with that) but the thought of her unintentionally tell other people and the whole power of gossip freaked me out. So I gave up the intention of telling her :icon_sad:
It is natural to feel scared. One thing I will promise you is that one day you will be overcome by an urge to blurt it out, and when you have done it once it will get easier every time. You will feel so much better when it is off your chest. Feel free to message me if you like and I will see what I can do to help. xx
Welcome to EC, and grats on the anniversary I think its sweet you have 3 labs, they are definitely one of my favorite dogs
Thank you all... xx ---------- Post added 15th Nov 2011 at 06:03 PM ---------- So happy... Peter had 48 red roses delivered and a teddy bear with them. I feel on top of the world right now x
