Hey everyone was searching around some random site's and i found this one, thought it sounded interesting. Anyway My name is Chris i'm 21 from Oregon... and it actually hasn't been that long since i came out, i actually decided to wait untill after High School because i knew i'd have to go through homophobia, and if i had a choice i'd rather not. But after High School i met someone thought i fell in love and well it wasnt love, it was memorable though and i'm glad in a way that it ended before it got to be to much.

Yeah when i came out, i came completley out everyone from my grandparents to my cousins know. Also everyone was completly cool about it actually, for some it took a month or so but then everything was the same as it always has been.

I'm here! Yes, I'm from Oregon. I live just East of Bend, in Prineville. Welcome. I hope you enjoy your stay here! Forest Grove has a very active PFLAG chapter that you and your parents should check out when the time is right. I'm the PFLAG President here in Central Oregon and I was the first invited personal testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee for the recently passed anti-discrimination laws in Oregon. It was all pretty exciting and nervewracking sitting beside Executives from Nike and giving testimony! Anyway, glad to have you!
Thank you Becky i was actually unaware of any PFLAG chapter here, although i've only lived here for two years i'm actually from Banks, Oregon a very small town. Our school actually got a GSA the year after i graduated which makes me sad as if it would have been around my freshman year i would have felt alot safer about coming out during high school. It's funny i've heard of Bend but i've never actually been there! lol My Mom has always been really accepting even though at first i could tell she was worried i'd never get married or have children, but i told her i could if i wanted to still...i mean i don't have to marry a woman to start a loving family of my own.
