:roflmao:I Mke im a 55 year old guy who has designed his life to prove hes straight (not working out to well) Im an alcoholic have not drank for close to 30 years more because I was afraid of deciding to anounce im gay when drunk. now going to shrink for major depression. Have now come out to a close friend and the Doctor. Though some of it will be tough I am looking forward to seeing where this journey takes me.

Hi, Mike. I turned 56 in December and just started coming out in January. I'm sure you'll hear from others like us here. It would probably be worth your time to look at posts and threads from me, Tracker57, and JimL. We have similar stories, but are at different stages of dealing with it. You don't say if you're married. If not, at least you've avoided some of our additional coming out drama. If so, all the more reason to read our posts! Welcome to EC, Mike! welcome Mike,I too just came out of the closet 3 years ago and going thru some major depression as well,talked with a therapist online,for a short bit hoping to see my doctor next month and get set up with a therapist more long term,feel free to get in touch anytime ,also I've been seperated for over 12 years now,I know how you feel.
