Trying to branch out and meet some people. Hopefully some in the same boat considering I have no one to talk to about any of this stuff.
I am new, too, and I joined largely for the same reason. I am not out and have no one locally to talk to because I live in a very conservative, rural part of Alabama. So far, I have found some great inspiration on EC and I look forward to meeting new people as well. Good luck in all your endeavors and on your journey!
Welcome to both of you! Jon, feel free to start a new thread so you can share more of your thoughts... it's def a challenge living in the deep south. Jim, welcome! Always nice to have new folks from my home state Lots of people here in your same situation and lots of others who have been exactly where you are now. Feel free to talk about whatever you wish, and know there are no "dumb" questions or concerns. And to both of you... I and the rest of the advisor team are available to talk one-on-one if you have specific things you'd rather talk about in a less public way.
