Hey everybody. I made this account hoping to hear from other people who might be going through a similar situation. Basically my story: I'm 19 years old and go to a private university in central Texas, but I still haven't had any luck finding any guys. It's a little depressing to see all of my friends meet and have amazing relationships with girls, yet I always end up alone on party nights. Most of the gay guys that go to my school are relatively feminine (no disrespect, just not the kind of guy i am or looking for) and not people I get along with. I'm starting to get really frustrated and wondering if there are any gay guys out there like me. I know I'd be a catch if i was straight; i play a sport and i'm pretty fit. But being gay has brought me no success. I was wondering if there were any other college guys out there like me, what it's been like for you, and how you've met gay friends.
Hello, and Welcome to EC!!! :smilewave You'll meet lots of great people on this site who have similar interests. You'd be surprised though, how many feminine gays actually like to watch sports. It's just an outward appearance. Get to know them on a personal level. :icon_bigg To meet some local gay men in you area, why not try joining a GLBTQ club (if your college has one?), join some other clubs that might catch your interest, you might meet someone there too? Some places have gay hockey clubs, gay football clubs, everything. Or, start one up yourself!? There are also certain websites that you can meet people who fit your criteria. Just gotta search for em if you really want it. Anyways, hope you enjoy your time here!
Well, I'm going to a private university and haven't been with any guys as well. Though, I guess not being out probably doesn't help, does it? There are a lot of people on this site you'll talk to that are in a similar situation as you, like what was already mentioned above. Anyway, welcome to EC!
I haven't joined a college gay group because at my school, it's pretty small, and I already know almost all of the outwardly gay ones already. Thanks for the welcome.
