Here's one I wrote  is called The symbol of our love
When your broken, I make you Whole,
piece by piece, and frame by frame,
I make anew what you have broken,
    truth and lies are unspoken,
and as I speak such subtleties,
Such as the sun and moon,
your love is the key, and your heart does open,
And the frame once broken becomes the symbol of our love.

Hi there! Welcome to EC! You'll find that a lot of us on here are lovers and writers of poetry. As for my own poems, I'm with you. All of mine tend to be much more dark in nature. Lol.

My dad is a published poet. I write stuff but I never let anyone look at it, and when I do it's always the stuff that I look at five mins later and go 'Whelp, that was moany, pretentious and made no sense'. I love reading poetry through, my favorites are TS Eliot, Sylvia Plath and Emily Dickinson.

I'm starting uni in a few weeks, and I'm suposed to be doing English with Creative Writing, which would include a lot of poetry, but I'm considering going with straight English. I'm not sure I could deal with my poems being read and judged for a school grade :S
