So I joined a while ago but stopped posting cause I got kind of freaked out by the whole thing, overwhelmed I guess. I just recently started coming on here again and I am sooooo much happier now. I never did the whole intro thing so I figured I would do it now. I'm 18 and live in California near SF so I am in an incredibly liberal area but the people I am generally around are very homophobic. My dad comes from a stereotypical latino family in which the women is supposed to marry the man and take care of him. My mom is from a southern bible belt type family. So this makes it hard for me to be who I am. I have not come out to my family yet. I guess I am waiting until I find someone who makes me want to tell them. I don't see the point in stirring up trouble if I don't need to. On a lighter note, I am obsessed with music. I sing and play guitar. I read and am a self proclaimed nerd who randomly bursts into song. People who don't know me think that I am a quiet, disconnected person because I am shy at first. In actuality, I am a secret romantic who is waiting to find the person that lets me be me and who will let me be my cheesy romantic self with. HEHE that kind of got embarrassing :icon_redf. Whatever. That is me so hi!

Hey! Sounds like we have some things in common. I'm 20 from California, and I go to college in SF. As you can see from my username, music is also a big part of my life. (I replaced the "c" in music with "k" because my name starts with a k.) I play piano and guitar and love both instruments. I wish, wish, wish I could sing! I would love it if I had a good singing voice so I'd be able to sing along while I play and even sing along to all my favorite songs haha. Music is my life It's the only thing I have in my life that's constant and that keeps me going. I also read a lot, since I'm an English major, and I, too, am really shy.
