Sooo...I hope this isn't strange...but I feel it's almost necessary? When I originally introduced myself barely a day and a half ago I was still figuring some things out, including a a name I wanted to use. Well, this site is very helpful and people are kind, and I would like to introduce myself more properly. My name is Danielle(f)/Gage(m). I am 20 for another month, and I am gender fluid. I plan on putting in my signature something I can change daily to let you guys know which name/pronouns I am going by that day. I hope that isn't too complicated? I have not yet worked out how this will work in real life but...hey. I'll cross that bridge when I reach it. For now I will get used to myself here. Okay anyways. Currently I am Gage. I am an art education major, so excited to be teaching a class of third graders this coming Saturday with my own lesson plan and everything. I have the exception-to-the-rule family, with parents that have been together 26 years and a brother 12 years my younger (he is 8 =) ). I live with them, go to schoolm work my arse off. Its not a bad life, if crazy. I am friendly and I love talking to people. Please feel free to message me about nearly anything. I really do love just chatting and due to my busy schedule I have been a rather lonely guy as of late, so I would love a chance to get to know some of you! Hello!
It's where you float back and forth between two different genders. Here is a more in-depth definition of it.
Oh hey...something that fits even better whats going in in my head. Strange how specific that gets. I will think on that. I have read from plenty of gender fluid people that they tend to have a grey area where they sometimes dont feel like any gender...I dont really feel that...I feel like i'm either Gage or Danielle...sounds a little multiple personality without meaning to, but you get my drift. Thanks =)
No problem! I was reading that post and it brought that to mind. I identified as bigendered for a while, but then I realized that I had a middle ground so I switched to pangender.
nfdkgl gender fluid bigender pangender BLAH. I wish I liked the term genderqueer more. I am not a huge fan but its an umbrella term o.o...gonna change that to bigender for now and...well yeah. Bluh. Thanks though ---------- Post added 25th Sep 2012 at 09:00 PM ---------- also can you see the symbols and stuff in my sig okay?
I know.. there are so many different terms out there.. You're Welcome!! I can see the symbols in your sig! I think that that is a really good idea. If I felt the need to change my pronouns I would do something like that too. I've just gotten used to female pronouns. I also have some people call me by my last name (which is a masculine first name) so I think that helps too. Edit: I'm sorry.. I like took over your entire thread.
Thank you Psychedelic! Your username reminds me of a couple of favorite (albeit fan-made) characters. Their names are Psyche and Delic haha.
They're from an anime called Durarara!!...two characters in the show have several fan-made alternate versions. Psyche and Delic are two of em. I actually cosplay them with my friend...I'm Delic.
Hi again, and welcome to EC! I don't think it will be too complicated...You can use some key item, such as a bracelet, to identify to others your current gender. One wears it, the other doesn't....bonus if it has your name on it. :icon_wink
Well...Danielle wears three rings and Gage doesn't...too girly. I might stick with that. I'm worried about a point thecat06 brought up. What if someone is saying something about me when I am not around? What pronouns and name would they use? The rings (or something similar) would solve the introducing me to people issue but what about when I am not around? Thank you for the suggestion =)
