Hai, my name is Tom i'm 17 years old and I live in the UK. I'm out and proud, my family and friends are supportive and i've never really had any trouble with homophobes. I like to think im a pretty fun guy, i like making new friends but i suck so badly at it >_< When people find out that im gay they usually have a hard time believing it, which is sometimes really annoying and leads to conversations like this: New College friend: Your gay? Me: Umm yeah why? New College Friend: Prove it! do something gay Me: Like What 0_0 New College Friend: I dunno prance around a little!!! Me: >.> Seriously New College Friend: Your the worst gay best friend ever >.< So yeah apparently i suck at being gay because i don't really fit the stereotypes e.g. people expect me to skip down the street and love shopping and stuff.... I hate shopping unless its for me XD Sometimes this gets me down and i wonder how ill ever get a boyfriend if people don't even believe that i swing that way..... but oh well Well i hate introductions and this one is quite long so... hope to speak to some of you guys :3
ah don't worry too much about the stereotypes thing, its outdated and mostly created by the media. I don't think I fit any stereotypes personally... anyway.. eyupp and welcome to EC.
Welcome to the Great and Amazing EC Stereotypes are sooo overrated. If you saw how I walk, and talk... well I am sure ppl would LOL if I told them I am gay.
Nah Tom, it's normal to worry about what others think of you. Just try to realize, what does matter is what you think of yourself.
