    Hello everybody,

    I'm male, 15, and gay. I am very artistic; I draw, paint, photograph, and love playing four instruments. I am very straight acting and very good at it... as only two people know as of yet and I told them this past December and January. I would come out to everybody right now (I have no doubt all my friends would accept me and the rest can go screw themselves) and have no inhibitions about it, but I am a boy scout working towards my Eagle, and really want to get it. As you probably know, the BSA doesn't allow gay members.

    The first person I came out to was a friend who was openly gay in my grade, he never saw it coming. We have become closer friends since then, but we are very different in our interests (He's very gay, likes Madonna, Bjork, etc. and I can't stand stuff like that).

    The second person I came out to was a straight friend who was completely fine with it, but he was just as surprised as the first. I'm planning on telling a few more people very soon. As luck would have it, I'm giving a speech to the entire school this week on the BSA and gays, in a competition. Everybody thinks I'm straight, so when I finally do come out, everything will fall into place.

    Hello, and welcome to EC! Yeah, I know what you mean about waiting to come out until you're an Eagle Scout. I decided to do something similar, although I'm an Eagle Scout, and still not really that out... Oh well. Best of luck getting your Eagle! How close are you to getting it?

    Maybe, except I play the clarinet and the bass clarinet, not the oboe and english horn. :icon_wink

    Hehe. An English Horn is a relative of the oboe, but at a slightly lower register.
