Hi everyone!!! I just signed up and wanted to say hi! Im a 16 year old closeted transgender I don't really have much of an option to come out because I live in a very homophobic backwards redneck area but as soon as I finish high school I'm moving out and transitioning!!! Is there anything you guys could tell me about how it is to come out as transgender or the whole transitioning process? <3 Kelly
Hey, welcome to EC! I'm not transgender and wouldn't be able to help you much there but there are quite a few people on here that are. Either way, I only joined a few days ago but the community here is great and I think you'll find it a pretty empowering part of your coming out experience. All the best.

Hi Kelly! Im so happy you found us all here on EC!!! I know exactly how you feel, in fact, I came out as transgender last year & the very first place I did come out was right here on EC! You are definitely in the right place! I can also relate to living in a city that is full of rednecks who arent very trans or gay friendly, belive me lol. Its been an interesting & surprising experience for me ever since I came out! If you have any questions, feel free to here on EC, everyone is very understanding! Same goes with me too! Welcome Kelly I'm pretty early on, probably starting hormones around the beginning of the year, but I'm more than happy to talk about my limited experience so far if you ever want to hit up my wall.
