Hi there. I recently joined due to a friend's encouragement, and I thought it prudent to start with an introduction thread. First off, I'm Brandon. I've been out, officially, for almost 7 months and I couldn't be happier. I am lucky to have the full support of my parents and sister, as well as 90% of my extended family. I'm a college student, a psychology major to be specific. I'm a lover of steampunk, art, music, poetry, and most things creative. I have a dog, Oreo, who is one of the most hyperactive dogs I've ever met (and he recently turned 7 years old!). Some random facts about me: my left eye is half green and half brown, I'm the only red head in my family, I have an extensive collection of video games, and I have an affinity for the font known as Arial Narrow (strange, right?). I think that's about it. I will be on and off throughout the next three weeks due to the approach of final exams, but I look forward to making some new friends.

Since we're in a safe environment and I shan't be judge I will finally say... Would you mind explaining what this steampunk is? Is it a genre? Because I'm horrible with genres. It was like music started out with genres like primary colors and then it started getting more and more diverse and I can no longer tell what is turquoise and what is blue!
