    I'm coming!

I've got a contract through CCUSA to work in a summer camp for underprivileged kids from NYC. I'm looking forward to it so much! I'll be there from the middle of June to the middle of August, and I'll do a bit of touring around America after that, I think.

    This is gonna be immense.

It's been very abrupt. A few days ago, I got an email to my university account telling me about the presentation. I thought it sounded interesting, so I went along. The two people there explained what CCUSA was and what it does, and then said something along the lines of "Oh, and your best shot of getting a placement is to go down to the faire Leeds tomorrow. The bus is already full, so you'll have to make your own way there, oh, and you'll have to commit to going if you go to the camp faire, meaning you've got to pay."

So, having had a tiny amount of warning, I'm now £249 worse off, I'm going to America, and I've got to work out lesson plans!

    AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

No idea, haha! I think I'm staying with a guy in Connecticut for a little while, maybe dropping in on another friend in Miami, and I also might do a couple of tours.

I'm gonna ask a guy called Shane - he's done the course twice, is now head counsellor at Camp Carolina, I think - his advice on it.

It's gonna be rewarding, and a lot of fun. While I do know this, I'm still utterly terrified.

I've not even left Europe before!

    Hey - congrats!

I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time (and, of course, given that you're a keen photographer - we'll expect LOTS of pics from you when you are there).
