Out of the frying pan, not yet hit the fire- but it's getting hot!

Greetings, all,

I am Louis, a genderqueer soft-masculine-ish (I typically like being called "he") pansexual person pretending to be a ciswoman pansexual/bisexual person to the general public. (I have half of one foot out of the closet)

To be honest, I am just in the process of coming out to friends and family about my sexual orientation. It is more difficult for me to come out about my gender identity, partially because it sometimes feels like I do not have one, and it is more complicated to explain.

I joined EC because I am in a self-discovery and coming out period in my life. In many ways, I feel better and relieved to be at least partially honest about who and what I am. However, the more I let people know, the more I start to realize the potential havoc coming out about all of my queerness could wreak on my currently calm life. Hopefully I can find some advice, comfort, and relate-able stories here.
