Hi. I'm 20 years old and in college and I'm here because I've been feeling pretty rejected by my campus's LGBTQ+ group lately. Hoping just to hang out and talk to people, really.

Hello, and welcome. =) What do you mean about your campus's LBGTQ+ group rejecting you? If you give more details (Not necessarily in this thread. Perhaps in another one...), people may be able to give you feedback and advice.

Oh it's okay, I can talk about it here.
Well, all my closest friends are in it, and I was the secretary for a semester..it was basically the #1 priority in my life for three years and one of the only reasons I wasn't depressed. I devoted myself to the position and to the club and gave everything I had to it. And then I got voted out of the secretary position for some freshman with no experience, so I felt really rejected and alientated and betrayed and unwanted. My friends were not helpful when I tried to talk to them. It triggered another depressive episode, the group stopped being a safe space for me, and I had no one to turn to, so.... I just googled "lgbt support chats" to find another outlet and here I am.
