My name is Melissa. Melissa is my preferred name. My birth name is Matthew until I get that changed. I'm 23 years old. I live in Florida. I'm looking forward to transitioning to female. I have always felt like a woman in the inside and I soon will see a therapist shortly after me and my mother sit down and talk. The only people who know about me wanting to transition to female is my mother, my 4 best friends and my employer and they all were accepting. I still get to keep my job during and after transitioning and I'm very thankful for that. I don't know how I would even pay for theraphy and HRT when I do get a letter of recommendation if it wasn't for still having my job.
hey Melissa! Welcome! :icon_bigg There's a lot of great people here, and if you ever have any questions about anything at all -- just ask! This is probably the best forum I've ever found, because there's a lot of people out there struggling with accepting themselves when it comes to sexual orientation or being transgender. It was good for me to realize that I wasn't the only one who had all of these "odd" thoughts! (*hug*)
