Hii, I'm a young (finnish) homosexual, I still don't know what to expect from this place, but I hope I'm welcome. ps. I don't think that there are too many people from Finland here.
Hey, and welcome! What's it like living in Finland? If you're doubtful about EC, I'm new to it myself, but I feel like it's a really nice place, where you feel very welcome, and supported. Everyone is lovely, and it does provide some very interesting debates surrounding the LGBTQ society. I'd totally give the site a shot if I were you, it's an awesome place. Hope to see you around!
It's pretty nice, the way the things work makes it a pretty good country to live in. Summers are hot and winters are cold, and most people are pretty accepting. Bullying is common though and many people are idiots
Thanks for welcoming me (*hug*) Finnish is a pretty hard language for english/american to learn, it differs from english grammatically. There are only a few prepositions, most of them are replaced by grammatical cases......... "I come from Finland" would be "Minä tulen Suomesta." Well it's pretty complicated, and too hard for me to explain. Just for fun I'll correct the finnish sentences you made. "Hi, welcome to EC" would be "Hei, tervetuloa EC:hen", "Good morning, welcome to EC" would be "Hyvää huomenta, tervetuloa EC:hen." The strange looking EC:hen is there because: the equivalent of "to" in this case is the allative case, which in this case is -hen. Because EC is an abbreviation the allative is -hen which is rare because words don't usually end in consonants. More usual allative cases would for example be -een and -lle, for example:"Welcome to Finland" "Tervetuloa Suomeen." Finland is Suomi in finnish, but "to Finland" is "Suomeen". Finnish is full of exceptions. :rolle:
