Girls, I'm Connie, new to EC. You can find my introduction in the Welcome Section of the forums. And everyone is welcome to my profile here.

So the topic of my choice (right now) is shaving.

    And not just your face/neck.

I'm talking body...chest, arms, hands, legs.

I'm finding myself shaving my chest more. Also my hands.

I've shaved my legs a few times before, but was not received very well for that.

I feel shaving is a big part of both self-esteem and how you want to present yourself.

So please, share your tips and opinions...I'd love to hear them. Thank you.

    Sincerely,
Lonestar Connie (Don't be a stranger)

    Shaving is a nightmare...
...That's about as much as I can contribute.

Oh, if you can take pain, epilators are supposed to be good.

I hate shaving so much, mainly because I'm so bad at it...BUT it's worth doing.

I hate the way my body looks most of the time, but remove the body hair and I'm suddenely comfortable! When I'm nice and smooth I can be naked and OK with it! (Sorry for that image ;D)

Miiiia! Thank you for contributing. Nightmare is a good description. Tedious, also.

But do you find it necessary (interested to know)?

And thank you ElliaOtaku for contributing also

    When dressing female, yes, definitely.
But it doesn't happen too often, so I don't shave a lot, yet. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Personally I find it necessary...I can go a couple of days without shaving my legs or chest, but then I'll look down and want to cry!

My arms I basically have to do every day

I was talking to a lesbian in my unit about shaving. Apparently straight men in this unit just straight up shave their legs. It's something a straight person can do to.

I freaken can't wait to get all this damn hair off me XD. Don't have like chest hair tho just hair everywhere else.

What I want to know is what shavers, creams, tecniques I should be using and if it changes per area. I've never shaven and I just don't know. Well I shave my face of course I'm 22 in the Army XD

I once tried a wax strip on a part of my legs. Hair never grew back there.... not sure what I did wrong there to be honest

It is the summer time, I'd love to have tanned shaved legs; but concerned about what others may think.

It is definitely tedious, but I find afterwards, the world just feels that much better. I'm pretty lucky in that I don't have a lot of body hair, and it doesn't grow THAT fast...I can usually go a few weeks before reshaving my arms, and only have to tweeze the few hairs I have on my chest and around my belly button. My legs I do about 2 or 3 times a week...now that it's warm out, I have these pair of olive green capri's I wear everywhere to I usually like to keep at least from my knees down fairly smooth.

I find what works for me for shaving the lower half is lying in a warm bath to open up the pores. I usually like to toss in a nice smelling bath bomb...make an event of it. When the water's soaked in, shave from the knee down on both legs, then knee up on each leg, and finally get that middle area.

I still suck at shaving my pits, though...

I read the entire mtf face shaving thread X).

Should I make my own thread on how to shave other parts of your body or is that relevant enought to this thread to just have it answered here?

Seriously though, athletes shave for that all the time, so it's always an option...

I can take the pain, but they leave me irritated for days - looks nice afterwards though! I actually do the top of my chest (the part that shows above a cami) with tweezers. I feel like the hairs are gradually getting finer and there are a little fewer of them.

I suppose that's not really practical for the whole of your legs though :roflmao:

Also, anyone get problems with razor burn on thighs? (And I guess chest too, but that's mostly just pain when trying to shave it again too soon afterwards.)
